About UAV ISR LLC
Background
My name is Andrew Thompson and my background includes graduating from The Citadel with a bachelor's in business in 2013. I was a police officer while I was studying for my degree. Once obtained, I started the process of joining the U.S. Air Force while continuing to serve as a deputy sheriff in the low country. I went through Officer Training School for the USAF in 2015. Since joining the military, I deployed twice and learned how to fly 4 different aircraft in that time of almost 8 years, to include two "drones" or UAV's as we called them. One was the largest UAV "Global Hawk" in the USAF inventory and the other was known as the MQ-9 or "Reaper."
The Idea
I wanted to be able to help my stepfather with finding and stopping feral hogs from tearing his family's farms crops and roads. I also wanted to create a business that I can help other people find all kinds of things. Have you ever shot an 8-point at around sunset, and it ran off into the darkness and into a swamp or very thick woods? Do you want to spend the next hour or two hoping you can find it, possibly putting yourself at risk of snakebite or getting lost? That is where I would come in.
Services
Our state-of-the-art equipment allows me to deploy very rapidly to find feral hogs, deer, pets, and persons in a matter of minutes (though we do have the capability to stay in the air for up to 2.5 hours currently at one sitting). We will hunt any feral hogs or coyotes or simply give you the information to find and eradicate them yourselves. Come deer season, if you cannot find that trophy buck or any deer that you shot but could not find, give me a call and I will come find it for you.
